Make sure you download the correct version for your machine - If you have 64 bit Windows then download the x64 version.

The Updaters require Silkworm to be installed already.
Silkworm is feature-rich! Not only does it play LIVE TV, Series and Movies but it also allows you to record LIVE TV, has a user-friendly EPG and an easy to use Manager that allows you to manage Favourites, Hide or Lock Categories. It also supports managing Bookmarks and Watchlists.
You can Favourite individual Channels by selecting it and clicking "Favourite Channel" or by double clicking the Channel Name. You can also select multiple Channels and then click "Favourite Channel".
You can Lock or Hide multiple Categories simply by selecting and pressing the appropriate button.
Hiding means the Category will not be shown in the Category view in LIVE TV mode.
Locking means the Category will not show the Channels when selected unless a PIN is entered. The Default PIN is 0000.
To Unhide or Unlock simply select single or multiple Categories and click the appropriate button. You can also double click to Unhide or Unlock an individual Category.
Unfavouriting is the same approach - Select one or many and click Unfavourite or double click a single Channel.
Bookmarks are a point-in-time snapshot of a movie or series episode - Basically, saving the position to come back to later.
Bookmarks are set by clicking the icon in the Control Panel whilst playing. They're valid for 2 months, when they expire they're automatically removed.
The Watchlist is used to store something that you want to watch another time such as a movie or a TV show.
There are 4 methods of Recording in Silkworm:
1 - Instant Recording (Record what you're watching)
2 - Record without playing (Right click Channel in list)
3 - Manual Recording (Set Channel, Start and End Time)
4 - Record from the EPG
The Recording Manager shows your current Recordings in the top window of the screen whereas the bottom pane shows the Schedule.
The Schedule lists all scheduled recordings - You can queue as many as you want although you can only Record one thing at a time.
You can continue to watch other Channels/Movies or TV Series at the same time providing you have enough connections and your bandwidth is capable.
You can edit items in the schedule to change their start
and end times, change the end time of something
that is already recording via schedule
and set up repeat recordings.
NOTE: Recording uses a connection for itself - So recording and
watching at the same time (be it what you're
recording or something else) will result
in 2 connections being used.
If you only have a single connection, use the
"Record Without Playing" option or add something
to the recording schedule.
Schedule Editor, as mentioned above, can be used to edit the schedule of recordings.
You can also select a Post Recording Action which are: Nothing, Alert, Shutdown Computer and Sleep Computer.
The EPG lists what programmes are on what channels.
A Category and Channel must be
selected first, then the list of programmes
for the current day are listed below.
Clicking a programme will show the
description for that programme.
You can add the programme to the
recording schedule by double clicking it
or by selecting it and clicking "Add to Schedule".
You can also filter the next day (T+1) and
the day after that (T+2) using the dropdown.
You can also search the EPG by
clicking the "Search" button.
This allows you to search by the
Programme Title or the Description.
You can then view the Channel or add
the Programme to the recording schedule.
The "Favourite Channel" switch will be on if the Channel you're playing is a Favourite. You can toggle this to
Add or Remove from favourites.
The User Notification Area has multiple icons:
REC - Indicates you have Recordings
The Eye - Indicates you have Hidden Categories
Download - A new version of the app is available
Cast - You have Castable devices
Playlist - You have items on your Playlist
Bookmark - You have Bookmarks for Movies or Series
The Lock - Indicates you have Locked Categories
The Recording Schedule shows what's next in
the queue and what's recording now.
The Control Panel has a host of buttons:
The first 4 are self explanatory and are used to Start/Stop/Pause/Rewind/Fast Forward
The following buttons operate as thus:
Toggle Full Screen
Pop Out Screen
Player Settings (Aspect Ratio/Language/Subtitles)
Used to Start/Stop Instant Recording, it flashes when Recording whether instant or scheduled
Bookmark the current position (Movie/Series only)
Toggle Mute
Volume Level
Right clicking the Channel, Series or Movie Name brings up a menu.
The first option advises which Category the item is found in, useful when found via searching.
The second option only appears when in LIVE TV mode and is used to start Instant Recording the selected Channel without also playing it in the view. Useful for single connection subs.
In VOD mode, a further option appears - "Add to Playlist"
which is the same as adding via the Movie Explorer.
The application scans for Castable devices at startup.
If any devices are found then an icon appears
in theUser Notification Area.
Hovering over the icon will tell you how many
devices have been found.
Clicking the icon will bring up the list of devices, you can rescan if
you think a device is missing from the list.
To Cast to a device simply click the icon on the Control Panel.
If you only have 1 Castable device then Casting defaults to that,
if you have more than 1 device then you will be asked
which device to cast to.
The icon acts as a toggle (Cast on / Cast off)
You can choose to start Casting before you start playing or
start playing then switch to Casting.
Note: The application only supports Chromecast at this time.
Series Episodes and Movies can be added to the Playlist.
You can add selected Episodes of a Series or
an entire Season in one go via the
Series Explorer.
Movies are added in the Movie Explorer or by right
clicking the Movie name in the movie window.
Items are displayed in the order
they're added - Oldest to newest.
However, you can change the sort order by
clicking the Description column to toggle
between A-Z / Z-A.
You can reset to the default view using the button.
Double click to launch the item or click the appropriate button.
